Barossa Valley~~~

It was indeed a fun day trip to barossa valley & hahndorf today with CK's family~! I've been wanted to go to barossa valley since last year however I can't get any companion to go with me. I was supposed to follow devil friend there during last holiday but I missed the chance~! What a waste~! Imagine devil friend had been there for thrice and only today, I finally able to step into the region of barossa valley~! My "dreams" come had finally come true because of my DEVIL FRIEND~! Happy happy happy~!!!

Our first destination is whispering wall. This is an amazing structure~! Imagine you can talk to one another clearly through a distance of 2meter~! That's the fantastic building structure by human~! I suppose this should be architectural or civil design~! *applaud to the designer*

Next we headed to lavender farm. I used to love the smell of lavender, however this is the first time I visited to a lavender farm and the smell of lavender made me feel disgusting! Maybe the smell is just too strong which I dislike it~! Actually we could hardly find lavender blossom during this season~! Probably I'd be coming back again by the end of the year and by hope, I should have able to have a sight of the blossom lavender~!

Our 3rd destination is Jacob's Creek. Jacob's creek is famous in producing red wine. There are different types of red wine provided for tourist to taste in visitor's center. Again, this is not the right season for visiting the vineyard~! We only managed to see withered vineyard~~!

The final attraction that we visited is sculpture park. Actually I don't think I have any sense of "art cell" therefore I can't enjoy there~!

After the attraction in barossa region, we headed to hahndorf. Before we dine in at Hahndorf Inn, we visited to beerenberg farm which is just a few kilometers away from hahndorf Inn. Once again, this is not the right season for us to pick strawberry~! However I managed to bought myself some jam produced by the farm itself and it is quite cheap, 3 little jam cost me only AUD 1.00~! I choose for three different flavour: strawberry, orange & blueberry. Hopefully these will taste nice.

Hahndorf Inn is popular with their "pork" dish. We've learnt a lesson from past experience and for this time 9 of us just ordered for 3 plate of "A Taste of Germany Platter".

My journey today ended at hahndorf inn. I enjoyed my day with everyone today~!!!

A Day In Hahndorf & Mount Lofty Summit

I came here one year ago and this is my second time to visit to Hahndorf which is the oldest surviving German settlement in Australia. Generally, Hahndorf is popular with its German Wurst and visitor normally dine in at Hahndorf Inn. The dish served here is in a huge portion and certainly it is the best that gal will share the dish with the other.

According to our observation, we realized that generally a group of 5 visitor to Hahndorf Inn will order for 3 plate of dish to share among each other. Different thing happen to us, 5 of us in a group today and we ordered for 6 plates of dishes. Our order shocked the waiter and they even advice us if we would consider to cancel some of the choice since the portion is actually enough for at least 8-10 person. But we insist to the initial order~! This is crazy~!

Hahndorf Inn is a popular dine in place for visitor therefore you can see that the place is crowded with people. We have to wait for more than half hour for the seat and around 45 minutes for our dish to be served.

This is 'A Taste of Germany Platter' which consists of Bockwurst, Weisswurst, Cheese Kransky and Vienna sausages smoked Pork Kassler Chop and Pork Knuckles. I actually share this with Joo.

This is a 'Six Star Sausage Combination' which consist of Deluxe Vienna, Bratwurst, Bockwurst, Plain Kransky, Cheese Kransky and Weisswurst. Sze Wei & Benny share for this dish~!

This is 'German Mixed Grill' which consist of German Wurst, Smoked Pork Kassler chop with herb dumpling. This dish belong to Ah Wei~~~ I actually tried this last year so I tried the other selection for today.

This is 'Giant Juicy Pickled Pork Hock'. Joo actually tried this last year and it taste yummy last time when he order for this dish. But, for this year, Sze Wei & Benny, each of them ordered for one plate and they dislike the flavour. The pork is cooked I think just about 40% done. I don't really like this actually cause a lot of fat in it.

I go for the selection of 'German Steak Mix Grill' this time. It is a 300gm char grilled steak with traditional german Bratwurst, double smoked bacon , sauerkraut and Rhine Potato. I love their Rhine potato which served with mustard sauce and dislike the sauerkraut where I feel like the taste is 'stink'! Maybe I just dont like the taste. I actually ordered for a medium rare steak however it came out with well done steak and the beef is so tough to bite. Oh yea~! This is another plate of dish which I share with Joo.

This is the leftover from Joo and I. We actually ordered for two plates of dish and this is what we can't finish and I know that we shouldn't waste the food therefore we packed away this~!! Hihi~~!!

On our way to proceed to Mount Lofty Summit, we stopover a market at Hahndorf as we find out that the strawberry sold here is quite cheap.

This strawberry is only cost about AUD 1.99 which is much more cheaper than I bought in City. It is crunchy and do not give a sour taste.

I never been to Mount Lofty Summit before actually. We finally reach to Mount Lofty Summit. In fact, I didn't manage to capture more picture at Mount Lofty Summit since it is quite cold there~! My fingers went numb~!
